Camarillo Cop Watch is a grass-roots movement started by a group of citizens concerned by the level of police corruption and harassment in our town. Modeled after the successful Cop Watch groups in Berkeley, Oakland, Los Angeles, Portland, and other cities across the nation, our aim is to hold police accountable by filming incidents and reporting dishonorable behavior.
- Eliminate police harassment, bullying, and violence by observing and documenting incidents and keeping police accountable.
- Encourage citizens to know and exercise their rights, and to be unafraid of their public servants.
- Encourage the community to solve problems without police intervention by exploring peaceful alternatives to police involvement.
